Adding Course Announcements

Course announcements display important announcements to your students via the welcome page when they login. Changes in assignments, summaries of the previous class week, and overviews of content to be covered in the coming week are just a few of the items that can be posted. We recommend that you post an announcement at least once a week to keep the content fresh.

For this assignment please post a student welcome message to your practice course. The following steps will assist in accomplishing this task.

  1. Open your practice course
  2. Click on the Communicate Tab
  3. Click on the Announcements link
  4. Click the Add Announcements button
  5. Enter or copy-and-paste your welcome message into the Announcement field.
  6. Click the [Save] button.
